I just checked - up to Camp Hell now.

Finished Camp Hell, loved it - can't wait for the next one and according to Swede that isn't long
Also read the full Jacob Interview - finally!! That one was so nearly a bust, but I'm glad I waited - thank you ladies.
And I've read a couple more of the shorts now. Crash is a naughty boy isn't he?? Oh and I will never look at the marg in my fridge the same way

Body&Soul was where the series got really good for me. Jacob is such a sweetheart. Yeah, the sexy scenes are hot in this series, but after I reread it and the shiny "oh my god, that's hot" wore off, I realized how tremendously romantic these books are.


I could probably fit some more commas into my post if I worked at it more.

I'm not one to judge. I like them I'm just really into the changelings.

I agree FaeladyFay, these really are wonderfully romantic. I love the way Vic and Jacob actively work at keeping the relationship in good shape, and it's not easy for either one of them. They screw up, and they forgive each other. Then they have really hot sex. :D
I'm an emotion junkie, and these made for a good fix. The Crash shorts are too much sex and not enough background romance for my tastes. I was done with those after Striking Sparks.

I was surprised Vic wasn't more upset. I just wanted him to go and tell Jacob as Stefan wouldn't be able to work his mojo on him and we all know how protective big J is :D

Hm, I hadn't thought of Jacob attacking Stefan. Jacob would probably really enjoy a beat down of anyone who hurt Vic.

I could have forgiven Stefan for sending the faxes. He was probably under as much pressure from the F-Pimp as Vic, and being an empath he probably knew how willing they were to assassinate him if he got too rebellious. But telling about the wig in Camp Hell? That was awful. What did they do to Vic as a result of that? It wasn't mentioned outright, but I know it was something awful.

Jacob has to scare the peewaddin out of Stefan. Stefan has some impressive defenses, but none of them can touch Jacob. Jacob could rip Stefan a new ashhole.

Does anyone else think Jacob needs to lighten up on bruising and marking up Vic? Vic is constantly reassuring Jacob that he enjoys it, but I think Jacob knows he shouldn't be so rough. (He's a sex crimes detective for Petes sake). Even Crash was shocked when he saw how marked up Vic was. If it shocks Crash, its gotta be bad.

Yeah, some of their sex goes from kinky to painful for me. Marks should be gone in a few hours, not days. Sexy marks, not Detective Marks. Detective Marks can stay forever. Vic has Marks marks.

I hadn't thought of Stefan understanding the threat in that sense. It does take being threatened from the abstract to the concrete. What upsets me is he had to know how Vic felt about him at Heliotrope, even if Vic never said it. That he tried to justify his betrayal by saying he did it for Vic pissed me off even more.

What if some well-intentioned nurse or doctor sees the marks that Marks makes (heh) and reports it as domestic abuse? Jacob is big and intimidating, and his relationship with Vic is hardly a well kept secret.

Marks' marks could be career-limiting. For Marks.

I don't know how much could happen without a complaint from Vic in terms of a domestic violence claim. I think there would be more danger from other cops seeing Vic's bruises and making the connection. Honestly though, I don't think that many people outside their immediate circle know about Vic and Jacob. That was why Carolyn tried to kick Vic out of Rosewood as Jacob was so obvious.

I didn't mind Marks' marks, maybe I'm just way kinky.
