Dead Run

Hopefully it wasn't the end but it would be alright if it was. It was book that made me go, huh, wow, awwww and left me with a smile and all mushy. When did I start to love this mushy stuff? Romance, HEA how did that happen???? Josh and his pretty words and pretty characters....

It's all Josh's fault. I blame him.

OMG....someone go suggest a whold book of Christmas stories to Josh....I just reread The Dickens With Love.....! Damn...the man rocks those short stories....I never liked short stories, and still don't....except his....sigh

Mummy Dearest

This could easily be my new favorite Josh book! OMG!! It was fun and sweet and sexy. A total blast to read. If you are already a Josh fan, you're gonna love it. If you aren't? This is a great place to start! I have a new favorite quote from the book, "The rain in Spain is giving me a pain". Spoken by a character who was just a little tipsy! I great line for a shot glass or mug!

Totally GREAT read.

I highly recommend this book.

Yay! I have Mummy Dearest locked and loaded on my kindle! It looks like a quick read too, so I should be able to fit it in easily....after Supernova.

I picked up The French Have A Word For It during Josh's shortie sale. I agree, Shay, Josh rocks at short stories!
The plot reveals were predictable, but that didn't hurt the story a bit. The plot itself was still very interesting. I'd love to give a little explanation, but it's short enough that I'm afraid I'll spoiler if I do.
I'll just say that Josh managed to squeeze a novel's worth of plot and character development into a story that was a single evening's read for me. It's not graphic, but it did give me a warm and fuzzy romance fix.

Oh, Dopple....You just did a great job of explaining Josh's appeal to everyone! He can say more in a single sentence than most writers can say in a lo-ooooog paragraph. I love all his short stories and novellas. Before I started reading Josh, I would NOT have said that and would NOT have thought it would ever happen.

Ahem....in case no one has noticed. Josh Lanyon and Diana Gabaldon are on my siggy.

I'm 55% through Mummy dearest. His writing gets better every book, and it was great to start with.
Shay I read Snowball in Hell, it was a real emotional ride, though the time and place for me was foreign to me in the start. But I got over that

Greencat, I remember all the posts on JLFP after I reread that. That book just tears me up. Gay men had a horrible time...so much risk! And war veterans! OMG.....even thinking about SIH makes me just want to cry.

ETA: And the title! Gay men didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of having a peaceful and fulfilling life.

I finished LONE STAR on Christmas. Loved it! Sometimes his endings upset me because I want to keep reading

I wanted an epilogue to LONE STAR. I loved the story, but the ending came two or three chapters too early!
A lot of Josh's stories seem like the ending has been clipped. That could possibly have something to do with me falling in love with the characters and greedily wanting more, though.

It's like he just gets them together and their life together has nothing to do with his story at all.

Started Dangerous Ground last night. I'm about halfway threw and liking it so far. Any thoughts on this series?

Finished and downloaded the 2nd one but wow for such short stories there a little expensive.

They add up and my local library certainly doesn't have an m/m section. I find them worth it.

I read the first book and I downloaded and I'm getting ready to start the 2nd one. After I read old poison I'll let you know what I think. I think I need at least 2 books to form an opinion. so far though I love Taylor! Haven't made a choice on Will yet.

Finished Book 2

I have to say I Taylor and I am hoping Will will grow on me. I was pretty upset with him though when he had his goodbye with Bradley.. Will is so damn negative and it really bugs the shit out of me!

That kiss PISSED ME OFF! I can understand Bradley wanting who he wants but Will had no fucking excuse. I read this well over a year ago and am still pissed off! Okay, I can't really understand Bradley. He's a poaching bastard. Hmpf.
